The creators behind Sass & Bide are
Australian designers Sarah Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton. Their Autumn/Winter
2013-2014 collection ‘Winter Gate’ was showcased at London Fashion Week. The
hauntingly beautiful St. John’s Church provided a backdrop for the exploration
of garments through bold lines, caged bodices and slinky metals. Graphic lines
merged with plaited leather were featured throughout the collection of
structured jackets. Dresses were adorned with metal rows creating a strong yet
feminine force. Their reflective knits are sure to catch drips of sun in the
winter months. Also spotted were pops of dandelion yellow as we see in the
brand’s reflective skirts and patent bags.
‘Winter Gate’ had a great overall balance
between industrial metallic and flicks of summery yellow.
