Where was I before I discovered Pierre et Gilles just lying across the bookshelf at the uni library. The first I noticed about the book was the hardcore glitter, rhinestone and the boys. Only not really first thing but if it had to be one thing; it'd be the pop-ness of it all.

Pierre Commoy; Gilles Blanchard are lovers and French artists. They're photographs are highly styled in the sense of different portrayals of characters. There is also the heavy re-touching which adds to the tactful-ness of the photograph.

I ♡ it all.

One day during our uni seminar's I saw a photo of a young kate moss flash by. She was standing in a flat, in a doorway with outstretched hands. Just kind of chilling there you know? I loved this feeling the photograph gave and became fascinated with the stories behind the images.

The photographer is Corinne Day, a british fashion model & fashion/documentary photographer.

She photographs her friends including Kate Moss in their own flat most of the times, hanging about. At the time these photos were shot, there was "a certain frisson of discomfort."- FACE OF FASHION. People like to take photographs and change the context.. But you can really appreciate the quality of her photographs; almost breathing...
