Yellow Checks

Styling some outfits I wear!

I love shopping on the high street, especially since they've become quite skilled at copying designer items… One of my favourite new pieces for spring is this yellow checkered coat! I ran up and down oxford street trying to get this in a size XS. Strangely enough I like tight coats… Thankfully for the 3 Zara's I found in Soho, I snapped up this baby :).

Now that I'm looking at this image I wouldn't say it was completely ripped off, merely inspired. After all you can't claim yellow checkers can you….

I have been thinking about my blog all week, what to say, what to share…

In the end I decided to share everything all at once and break it down. Here are some snaps of whats to come! I think being busy would be an understatement- especially the last week. That's right ladies and gents; I'm 20.

MAKING MAGIC WITH FILM

I think I had the most riveting today. I have a new found love as well as respect for photographers work ing with film. The act itself is a scientific experiment what with the mixing of chemicals and measuring of various fixers.

After an entire day of working in the darkroom, fumbling with reels, film and being thoroughly disspointed with rolls of film which came up blank :(… I managed to salvage images of my lovely model and friend Marina.

Half the day was spent eating home-made scones-made by yours truly :) and the other shooting. But really not much shooting happened today, we were all really excited to use a medium format.

Just a side note, expect lots of analogue photography to be featured on my blog from now on. I absolutely adore the process of creating the image & value each shot so much more.

Surf Trip

Why yes I do exercise! I joined our college's Surf Club ages ago and never went on an actual trip... I have no one to blame but myself for that. Not really sure what I was waiting around for, it was just hard to take that initiative I guess.. Along with me, a total of 3 other club members joined along the trip to Newquay, Cornwall. We spent our days surfing, snacking and trying to get that damn wet suit on!
